During the last 40 years Scorpion has honed its skills and expertise in the sector to erect high quality, well executed, steel-framed farm and industrial buildings.
Since 2013 we have sought to further strengthen quality credentials by implementing a Quality Management System throughout the organisation.
In June 2014 this system was certified to ISO 9001:2008 by SCCS
(The Steel Construction Certification Scheme).
CE Marking: From 1st July 2014 the Construction Products Regulation made CE Marking mandatory in all European member states, including the UK and Republic of Ireland, for all construction products that are permanently incorporated in to building or civil engineering works and are covered by either a harmonised standard or a European Technical Assessment that is in force.
But what does this means for our customers…? In brief… it should not now be possible to buy a steel-framed building without the requisite CE certification, and we would encourage all customers to double check with their chosen supplier that their certifications are in place. It is unlikely that underwriters will insure new buildings that are not supplied with the statutory and applicable CE certifications.
Rest assured that we have this covered! CE Certificates and design calculations will be issued for all buildings supplied by Scorpion. Customers should be assured that Scorpion places great emphasis on quality, from initial enquiry, through to building hand-over. Over 80% of our annual sales are generated either through repeat business and word of mouth from our valued customers.
